Biography

Jean-Louis Schuller has gained his skills in Photography on the streets of Luxembourg where he is born and raised. He then learned the craft and art of cinematography at the “Institut des Arts de Diffusion” in Brussels (Belgium) where he lived 4 years before moving to London. He proved his skills by getting offered a place as a cinematography MA student at the “National Film and Television School” of the United Kingdom under the tutoring of Brian Tufano, Sean Bobbit and Billy Williams in 2005.

Jean-Louis is now based in London and works as a Director of Photography on drama, commercials and documentary films on both sides of the Channel.

Some of his work has been featured in Clairmont-Ferrand and the London Film Festival as well as winning a Bafta Cymru, a Royal Television Award and the Award for “Most Creative Idea” at the Shanghai International Film Festival among other prices.
